Custom Plastic Rollers for Industrial Applications
Plastic rollers appear in conveyors, guides, tensioners, and drive systems where metal components add unwanted weight or require lubrication. CNC machining produces these parts from engineering plastics when volumes stay below typical molding thresholds or when geometries include custom grooves, flanges, or through-holes.

Material and Geometry Considerations
Buyers select roller materials based on load, speed, chemical exposure, and temperature range. We review drawings for wall thickness, runout requirements, and bearing seat tolerances before quoting.
POM
Low friction and good dimensional stability for general handling applications.
UHMW-PE
Resists abrasion in bulk transport and high-wear conveying environments.
PEEK & PPS
Handle higher temperatures and aggressive fluids with tight tolerances.
Filled Grades
Nylon, PVDF, and reinforced compounds supported for specialized duty.
CNC Machining Process for Rollers
We start from bar or sheet stock and complete turning, milling, drilling, and threading in one or two setups. This approach maintains concentricity between bearing journals and roller OD while allowing secondary features such as keyways or set-screw holes.
Surface finishes range from as-machined to polished, depending on whether the roller contacts film, fabric, or abrasive media.
